Scholes family reunion 2009

Scholes camp site. We have started this tradition every labor day we have a camp out. This year everyone came. Lane I mean you. It is fun to get all the kids together and watch them play. Yes they fight and cry but they have fun. Grandma and Grandpa brought BB guns to shoot. That is always a hit. I was excited Ryder ate his first hot dog ever. Our first night there everyone came at different times so we just did hot dogs on the fire. Well Maysie asked Ryder if he wanted her to cook his he said yes. I just sat back and watch to see what he would do. It was cooked I cut it up and low and be hold he ate it. It was a miracle. The whole trip he ate what we ate. It was very nice I must say.
Lane came for the night and left Saturday after fishing. He had to work on Sunday. So I was left for myself. just kidding my dad and Todd helped me. I thought it would be OK. But Ryder was going so hard all day and of course you can't nap when your camping so he was extremely tired come night time. Which meant peeing the bed. He was so tired he wouldn't wake up to go. Then he would wake up wet and crying. You know how that goes. But it is ten times harder when you are in a tent when everyone can hear you. At the moment it was rough but looking back now it wasn't that bad.
So all and all we had a good time camping with the family. We came down Saturday for Jacob's blessing showered, had a nap and went back up for the night. Grandpa Terry had a treat for the kids. He wanted to start a club can't remember what it is called but to get into the club you had to eat dirt. The kids were kinda iffy but tried anyway. Of coarse it was oreo's and gummy worms. It was funny Ryder and Carson wanted nothing to do with it. Carson said he saw one of the worms move. Even though they didn't eat it they are still in the club. They all thought that was pretty cool to be in Grandpa's club.

My dirty little camper.

Oh Jacob how you have a freaky mother. This is how Jacob was the entire trip. Joani was so afraid he would get cold. With all those blankets plus sitting next to the fire, whatever mother.

Fishing. We walked about a couples of miles to this pond. Not fun when it is hot, with a three year old, and pregnant. But when we got there it was fun. Not much action but the kids had fun casting their poles in the water. Mom rescued us with some lunch and some snacks. Anything is better with food.

The cute couple. I have to take a picture of lane to show he was there. He came for only a night but it was fun. There aren't very many pictures of the two of us.

Carson and Ryder. The two toe heads together. When they are not fighting they have a good time.

Ryder loves to fish. Todd and Amber's family gave him a fishing pole for his birthday. He loves to sit in the yard and cast it out into the street. His pole had a red plastic fish on the end of it. When we were fishing he would cast it into the water and the fish would swarm trying to figure out what it was. It was the most action we saw in the pond. It was funny to watch.
