Happy new Year!!

Wii Wii Wii

So this year both set of family's got the Wii. So now we don't have to. It has been so fun. I loved it when we were at my parents house. We wanted to play so we turned it on right.........NO! Well they got a new tv which doesn't make things easier. They had like three remotes and no clue how to get it on the tv. They argue mom knew how, no dad did. NO we had to call todd who was in ogden to help us. It was very entertaining to watch them both.

So news from the scholes since no one else keep up there blog anymore I will share the news. Joani is expecting. Her due date is July 14th. We are so excited for her.
Then we find out that Amber is Expecting. Sometime at the end of June!! She has known for awhile and hid it. So that is it. Two baby's this year and none are mine. Oh well maybe next time!!

So a new year . Oh what resolutions will i make this year.
Well if I share them then I have to keep them so I will just keep them so myself!!

Merry Christmas

Well another one down. I have been a blogging slacker. I love Christmas time. I love being with family. This year lane had to work Christmas eve AGAIN. Which I hated, but i sucked it up and got over it. Christmas day was extra long for him. Poor guy didn't sleep for 24 hour. He is a trooper. We had our little Christmas together than went over to the Carlton's for another one. Then the day after we headed to my house. Yeah!!! It was a quick trip but well worth it! So here are some pict of what we have been up to .

Lately Ryder has been into writing his name and everyone else's. k just scribbling but still he likes to write. So Santa got him a desk that he can do that. Plus it has a magnet board for all of his letters. It was a hit. Now we have to make sure he colors on the board and not on him. We are still learning. Thank goodness for wash able markers!!!

Can you find Ryder???? We had the Greenwood Christmas party and this is what I found. Grandma Greenwood gets a new bear every year. This year I guess she got a really BIG BEAR!!! Todd said he just sat down and he put bears around him. It was so funny. He sat there for a while too. I think he likes it.

Thanksgiving

Happy thanksgiving. We were with lanes family this year. Mmmmmm the turkey was good.

I am so thankful for many things in my life. I am greatful for lane. He works so hard all the time. And I never tell him enough what it means to me. He is such a good dad to Ryder. He will sacrifice the things he wants to do just to spend time with him. Working nights he doesn't get to see him much. Family has always been important to both of us.
I love him so much!!

I am also greatful for my family. For raising my up in the gospel. My parents are such good examples to me and always will be. They have been there when ever i need them or just need to come home. I love having all the family close together again. Even though I am the one that lives away.

I am greatful for the Gospel in my life. I am greatful for the life that I have. Even though I don't always show it. Sometimes I wish I could live somewhere different where there is nothing so I really could be thankful for the little things.

I love being a mom and wouldn't change it for anything. I love Ryder so much. Everyday he makes me laugh. I love hearing him in the morning call for me. I know I take him for granted. But I love the holidays it makes me happy. I love everything about it. Mostly I love to go home for the holiday. Something about it. It just isn't Christmas till I go home. I hope that never changes.

So enough about that. I did go shopping on BLACK Friday but it just isn't as fun going later. All the Carlton boys go four wheeling the day after thanksgiving so that means no babysitters for the kids. But they had fun and so did we. I am sad to say I didn't even buy anything exciting though. OH well there is always next year!

twilight?????

The girls from the salon and I went to the midnight showing of Twilight. It was funny they had Edward Impersonators there and Jacob. Which now after seeing the movie are way better than the actual ones. I knew the movie wouldn't be as good as the book but come on. There were alot of awkward parts people were actually laughing. I needed more romance. And Jacob, he was ugly. I had to laugh when I saw him. I guess I just have to enjoy the Edward In my head. But I had to see what it was like. Now I am just waiting for the next Harry Potter movie.

CARRIE CARRIE CARRIE

The night had finally come. it was perfect timing to. Gage had an ear ache and Ryder had the Hives so we both really needed a girls night out. We went and ate a Cafe Rio before the concert. MMMmmmmmmm. This is us before it started. Little big town opened up for Carrie. They sing the boondocks song. I like them now.

The count down began for Carrie to come out I was so excited I couldn't stand it. I took way to many pictures but I had to remember this forever. Only I will appreciate them. I know they didn't turn out very good but still it is Carrie. The girl next to us video the whole thing. Next time I will. I took a clip of her singing the boyfriend song. It is funny you can hear me singing along. My throat hurt the next day I sang so much and so loud.





Les and I with our Carrie T shirts. It was awesome I think I love her even more now. Lane thinks I am a freak. I had a hard time sleeping when I got home that night I was so excited. I just kept hearing her sing to me. Thanx Les for putting up with my bad singing.

Last Monday was Tami's birthday. For those who don't know Tami owns the salon I work at. We took her to Los Hermonose for lunch. It is always fun when all of us get together. We work at different times or having baby's so it is a rare thing.

All is well at the carlton's

Thank goodness we were wrong about the chicken pocks. They never blistered over and went scabby so I didn't think they were chicken pocks. And plus they were too big to be them. So we found out that Ryder is allergic to penicillin. Who knew that it ran in both sides of the family. I knew my mom was but I found out that lance also. So it was just hives. Thank goodness for that. They are clearing up nicely. Thanx grandma Mel for the get well card we already spent the ice cream money last night!!!

that is what Ryder calls them. Warning stay away from the Carlton's Ryder has chicken pox. I can't believe it. We just got over the ear infection now this. I bet anything he got it from the nursery. But lucky for me he looks worse than he acts. So that is a bonus for me. You look at him and you just hurt I know how it is to deal with the itch's when I get hives really bad you just want to rip your skin off. But I pray they don't last too long I can't stay cooped up in the house for to long I will go nuts!!!
And I am soo sad we don't get to go to our mom and me class this week. So that means I payed 30$ for one class. Yes that is my luck. I guess we will try out next month.

One scary thing I might have to make thanksgiving dinner for us this year. No one will want over to spread it around. i got a little excited but I think it is wearing off a little what if it doesn't turn out. I have never made a turkey or a pie before. I don't know , but it will be a great memory right. The thanksgiving I actually cooked, that is one to remember for sure.

I have pictures to post but my program is gone off the computer so I will show them later I guess. I can't wait to get my own computer. I feel bad putting all my picts on lane's family computer but I have to blog some how right. Soon I won't have to....... Right Santa!! Oh how I hope he remembers.

update

Well we found out that Ryder has an ear infection. But once we got the medicine he has been ten time better. So I guess my prayers were answered in another way. This week has been kinda crazy for us. Ryder and I had our first mom and me class this week. We decorated a Indian head band with feathers and made a shaker full of beads. Then we made pumpkin muffins, and went on a feather hunt to learn about the first thanksgiving. And ended with eating our muffins. It was alot of fun I had to laugh at some of the freaky moms that are there. Ok story time:

The kids got handed five little muffins. THe kids ate one and so did the moms right. The mom next to me wanted another one. She asked her son if mommy could have another one. The Responce: NO! MOM: but mommy wants one. Kid: NO!. Mom: but you have four can mom have one more? kid: NO!. It was funny mom was hungry I guess. I hope I never become one of those freaky moms.

Now I am just waiting for the 19th to come!!! Don't worry I am practicing all the songs so leslie bring your ear pluggs I can't promise what you hear!!

Praying for patients

The last couple of days have really tested my patients. Ryder Kinda has a cold. A runny nose. So that means he is really whinny. Which I don't do well with. I feel bad because he doesn't feel good. So I have had the mom guilt pretty heavy this week.

Last night Joani and Brendon came and slept over with us. It was so fun to have them come. I love having them close now. Ryder and Brendon had a hard time sharing a usual but still they love to play together. Hotel Carlton is open to all!!! We love you.

Scholes halloween party

Last weekend we went home to go to the Scholes family Halloween Party. It was so fun everyone dressed up. Mom made her famous dinner in a pumkin for lunch. Then she set up an obsticle course for the kids. They had to jump over pumkins, throw a ball through a hula hoop, ride a stick horse around the tree's. and much more. It was so fun. Then we had bobing for apples, throwing darts and balloons, and a ring toss. It was funny how hot it was all of us were peeling off out costumes half way threw. Usually It is cold. There are no picutes of ryder in his costume because it lasted like two seconds. So we are hoping for some good shots on Friday. And lane was hunting so he wasn't there either. Thank goodness he didn't get a deer this year. I am not in the mood to eat it!! Thanks mom and dad for all the hard work you put into the party. We love you all!!!

Corn Belly's

Last week we took Ryder out to Corn Belly's at Thanksgiving point. There was so much to do. But I think Ryder liked the slides the best. They even had a wagon train like Grandpa terry's. We watched pig races and even went on an egg hunt with the Pumkin Princess.

old friends make new friends

I found these cute pictures of Gage and Ryder playing together. I guess it was always a childhood dream to have mine and leslie's kid be friends. Gage is so cute we love him. We have his picture on the fridge and when ryder see's it he askes "play with gage today?"

Where is Ryder?????? I took them in the wagon. They loved it they kept leaning over and kissing and huggign each other. They will hate us later for that I am sure.

cleaning frenzie......

So I got on one of my cleaning frenzie's this week. Don't worry it only happens like once in a while. I hated Ryder's room/ storage unit. I want it to look like a little boy lives here right. Anyway so I organized all of his baby clothes in sizes and put them in tubs. Through stuff away we don't use, you know how it is right. Well this process was not easy with a two year old. Everything was a new toy I would through things out of the closet covering his blanket and he would freak. "blanky, momie" I said I know mommie is making a mess. Ryder said " yes mommie a mess. clean up." So this pictures is him helping me clean. He found a nice seat in the closet on one of the many tubs. Isn't he the cutest helper ever!!!

So les and the boys and I went to visit Tiff last week. And she made me this for Ryders room. So I have one wall in his room that looks cute!!! I love it thanx tiff!!! And lane can't say anything because I didn't put a whole in the wall. Leslie helped me hang it to.

Ryder is talking soo so much lately. And he runs everywhere. I wish I had that energy. I was getting dressed today and he said" oh cute pants mommie." I had to laugh the first thought came to my mind was lane would hate to hear that. What can I say he does have great taste!!!!

He always says funny things but I am bad at keeping track and then when I try to I can never remeber them. I guess I need to try harder.

So I have been a blogging slacker lately. Sorry fellow blogging friends. What can I say I am lazy. No actually the truth is Jamie let me barrow the first season of Samatha Who. Bad Idea. that is all I have been doing. I love IT!! Monday nights after dancing with the stars. watch it.

Roosevelt trip.

So like I said we went to Roosevelt and I left my camera there so thank you mom for sending it. Grandpa Terry has been busy making this train for the grand kids. And Ryder hadn't been in it yet. What is funny is he is in the very back all by himself. But he loved it. He is always Grandpa's shadow when we go out to visit. As you can tell what grandpa does so does Ryder.

We went to watch Maysie's soccer game. It was very entertaining. Some of the kids kept getting tired and needed a break. Ryder and the girls loved to run down the hill. We love our cousins!!

Before we left for home Ryder had one more chore to do. Mow the lawn. And boy was he good at it! It is a tradition at our house that every Grand kid has to take a spin on the Mower.

state fair.

We took Ryder to the State Fair. Yes I know I am behind on posting but oh well. We took Grandma Jean With us which made it even more fun! Here I a cow. Amazing I know but if you have never been to a fair before they are the cleanest cows ever. Which kinda makes them pretty. Some even cuddly.

We had to go see the Goats. They are Ryder's favorite to see at Jerry's house.

OK I don't know what kind of animal this is but it looks like a good babysitter. And I guess someone else thought so too.

Once Ryder saw the pony's that is all he wanted. This horse is named Thunder. He is quit the cowboy.

OK we saw this slide and lane wanted to take Ryder down it. I thougth he would be kinda scared it is big. But he loved it. I think lane even liked!can you tell by his face he loved it. he wanted to go again but at 4 bucks a ride no way!!


We saw lots of animals and lots of crazy's you know Utah's finest. But all and all we had a great day. And of course I had to try the deep fryed pb&J. which was good once. Ryder and daddy shared a ice cream. And Grandma had her Diet Coke so we all were happy!!!
